Girls' Rite Journey Calling/Departure/Solo Expedition

Last Monday the Year 9 Girls, ably accompanied by Miss Flanigan, Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Wilson - went on an adventure to explore the local icon, Table Top Mountain. We set off with things to let go of, intentions for the
future and an air of wonder and awe.
The morning was spent continuing to build our hiking skills and stamina (after our Bakes Trail and Nail Can Ranges hikes), continuing to build relationships and connections with each other and an opportunity to view the spectacular vista that we live in from a great vantage point. Students supported and encouraged each other and enjoyed the ceremony of sharing their painted rocks, the 'solo' time and generally being outdoors. It was a great time of reflection and fun, with many great memories created.
