Welcome! We’re so pleased to have your interest in St Paul’s College. We think St Paul’s is a pretty special place: plenty of fresh air and room to move, a strong Christian commitment and values, highly motivated staff, great kids and a caring community with a strong sense of belonging and purpose.
But we also know that selecting the right secondary school can be a tough decision. So we hope that our website will provide information that is both informative and interesting.
St Paul's College is a Christian co-educational day and boarding school following the widely respected traditions and values of Lutheran education. The vision of our founders, that "unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain" (Psalm 127 v 1) remains as true today, as it was in 1948 when St Paul’s was founded.
I’ve worked at St Paul’s for almost 10 years, and one of the things I like most about it is the balance we can provide - a Christian education that encompasses the spiritual, intellectual, cultural, physical and social-emotional domains. St Paul’s certainly strives to do this – to nurture and educate many facets of a young person.
One thing we do particularly well is take individual care and interest in each of our students. Our relatively small size as a school and our location at Walla Walla helps us to focus on each individual student and this helps us build the four pillars of a St Paul’s education. We believe that the foundation for a successful secondary school education involves a partnership of shared expectations between parents, the College and students. We work hard at a positive and regular communication between the school and families and parents.
We offer extensive and diverse curricular and co-curricular programs, which cater for students' individual interests and abilities. A culture of participation and involvement exists among our students within our supportive and caring environment. Students are challenged to strive for personal excellence in their pursuits so that they may come to realise their potential and be useful citizens of St Paul's and their communities. Both our teaching and boarding members of staff are a balanced mix of enthusiastic and energetic young people, and a range of more experienced people with wide experiences.
I hope you enjoy reading the information offered here.
I would love to meet you and your family and discuss the value of a Christian secondary education at St Paul's College. Even if you’re just looking – by all means, give us a ring, pop in for a chat and we can show you around.
